The majority of on-site recycling companies no longer offer recycling services to sites where the recyclable volumes are low – for example where the bigger recycling containers rented to the client cannot be emptied/fetched at least 2 (two) times per week, due to it not being cost effective as far as their operational costs are concerned.  They also prefer to have their own salaried staff on your site on a permanent (at least 5 (five) days per week) basis in order to manage the process.  Should they agree to render a service to you, but your site is far from where they operate, the transport cost for emptying containers becomes high.  Therefore, once a proposal is offered to you as the prospective client, the equipment rental, staff costs, transport and consumables becomes real expenses, and the rebate offered on recyclables too little due to your *(1)small recyclable volume which will not offset against your waste management expenses.
